Just a few miles down the road, you can find a vibrant city-like atmosphere with the Reston Town Center. Thanks to an exciting culinary scene, this is where we often participate in after-work happy hours and celebratory team lunches. Of course, the nation’s capital is only an hour away by metro, which means some of the best museums, shops, historical landmarks, and restaurants in the country can be reached with little effort.

When we’re seeking an escape from the metropolitan excitement, we head in another direction. The Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah River in the west offer stunning views and endless hiking routes. Quick road trips to local Virginia wineries or well-maintained state parks create the ideal weekend getaway. For a lower altitude (and potentially warmer climate), we prefer to go east to sites like the Chesapeake Bay, a region known for its seafood and coastal scenery.
